Olivia’s Musical
Olivia had a musical at school today, so mama and daddy left Eva for the first time today. She was very content in Gammie’s arms for an hour and never even knew we were gone.

This time we took Eva to see Dr. Kimberling. He’s one of our favorite doctors – a really great guy. Eva was such a good girl today!
Uncle Greg and Aunt Jacinda came by tonight to meet Eva Grace. They brought dinner from Lanna Thai and a massive basket of everything you need for a newborn baby. So awesome! It had everything but the baby!
Aunt Jenny came by this afternoon to meet Eva. Eva was so content on her arms. She just slept contently.
We had an appointment with Dr. Narrin, Eva’s pediatrician today. In 2 weeks, she’s gained 13 oz over her birth weight. She’s eating well!
It was a mellow evening. We stayed home, had no visitors and just relaxed.
It wasn’t a big blowout this year, but the girls had fun watching the Super Bowl. We even did a family squares game and bought a football to toss around. The 24 degree temp at halftime was no joke though, so we didn’t play football too long. Brrr. Of course the highlight of the game for the girls was Katy Perry’s halftime show, which we all agreed was the best in a long time.
Gammie came by tonight with dinner for us. The girls were happy that she stayed and ate with us and got some Eva time in.
Tonight, Aunt Debi and Uncle Bill came by to meet Eva. Katie came too and she brought her daughter Adelaide. Amazingly, Adelaide and Eva were born on the same day. Katie is mama and daddy’s niece, which makes her Eva’s first cousin. So Katie’s daughter, Adelaide is Eva’s first cousin, once removed! (We had to google that, to figure it out!).
Mama and Katie originally had the same due date, which was January 26th. The due dates were moved around a bunch, but in the end, Mama and Katie’s water broke within half an hour of each other! Amazing. They will always share a special relationship, in addition to the same birthday.

Hey, what’re you doing over there?
Tonight, Noni and Papa came over and made dinner for us – Burgers, hot links, and corn on the grill. Delicious.
